About VarVote

A clearer picture of what football supporters think.

VarVote is an independent public-interest project built around one focused question: should VAR continue to be used in professional football?

Why this vote exists

Debate about the video assistant referee is often driven by the most recent controversial decision, a single league, or the loudest voices on social media. VarVote offers a simple global ballot so supporters can express a direct opinion and compare the overall result with country-level patterns.

The project does not claim to be a scientific opinion poll. Participation is voluntary, the audience is self-selecting, and results describe the people who chose to vote. The totals should therefore be read as an open supporter referendum, not as a representative survey of every football fan.

Independent

VarVote is not affiliated with FIFA, UEFA, any league, club, broadcaster, betting company or refereeing body.

Focused

The ballot asks about VAR as supporters experience it today, rather than every possible future version of video review.

International

Country detection and translated interfaces make it easier for supporters in different regions to participate.

Transparent

The method, limitations, privacy approach and changes to the project are explained publicly.
